The growing interest in exchange traded funds has become a phenomenon of the global financial crisis. The product has seen growth in Europe, in both assets under management and launches. It is transparent, diverse, flexible, and cost effective, while offering two sources of liquidity. In the backdrop of the 'credit crunch', ETFs have become a haven for investor's fixed income and commodity assets.
